day in the life of Singapore

After spending a night in the airport, I managed to escape into the town. The tourist center iin the airport s totally hip! They provide free tours, free tickets, free etc for the us! I got a free MTR (read: subway) pass for the day! Went to Chinatown for chicken with sticky rice (hmmm, good), then off to shop for a phone (I loved my old Nokia 6610, but since I lost it I have been suffering with an inferior Siemens 62t, locked too). So now I am a brand new owner of Nokia 6021. Fully unlocked and ready to work with bluetooth and all. Cost me 235 S$. Well, not too bad - there was also no plan to sign. The city is totally cool - bustling with people, full of life. And Din Tai Fung is just as good as in Taipei. Cheaper too, had 10 pork dumplings and a side of pickled lotus root - under s$16. So there. Made it back and see if I can take a shower before I got to board the plane. India is next, I hope my reservation for Empire hotel via email works out!
